Moog Aircraft Group awarded a contract to Vac Aero International, Oakville, Ontario, Canada, for a vacuum furnace to be supplied at its East Aurora, N.Y. facility. The system has a graphite felt lining with a hot face of reflective graphoil bonded on carbon composite and will be heated by curved graphite elements, a Varian diffusion pump, BOC (Stokes) mechanical pumps, Honeywell and Allen Bradley controls and a water system from Dry Coolers.
