Vac Aero International, Oakville, Ontario, Canada, has received an order for three vacuum furnaces from Chromalloy, Gas Turbine Corp., located in Orangeburg, NY. The furnaces are identical in size with mechanical and diffusion pumps, carbon felt hot zones with molybdenum elements, Honeywell UMC 800 controllers, Allen Bradley SLCs, independent water recirculating systems, and IG gas storage tanks. Vac Aero plans to ship the furnaces in June and are providing installation supervision, with Chromalloy personnel doing the actual installation.
