VAC AERO International Inc., Oakville, Ontario, Canada, has installed and commissioned a VAH4848HV-2 front loading vacuum system in a customer’s facility in Damman, Saudi Arabia. The furnace features a graphite hot zone, moly elements, diffusion pump, 7500 cfm quench system, Honeywell and Allen Bradley controls, and recirculating closed loop water system and is to be used in the refurbishment of service damaged components from land-based turbines. In addition, VAC AERO has recently installed two similar systems with oversized diffusion pumps at a Sermatech/ATI facility in the U.K. and a bottom loading system at a Sermatech facility in Korea.
