It may not be widely known that VAC AERO (new vacuum furnaces, commercial heat treating) opened a plant in Poland last September, mainly to provide thermal spray and other coating services to the growing aerospace industry over there. I now hear they are establishing a vacuum heat treating and brazing capability in the same facility and are also providing laboratory services to support the heat treating operations of another Polish manufacturer. Now, there are rumours that VAC AERO is planning a further major expansion in Poland sometime in the New Year. I will be very surprised if we can’t give you a few more details in the New Year.
