A very accurate source tells us that Vac Aero (new vacuum furnaces) has just received an order for two fairly big, front loading vacuum furnaces from Siemens Westinghouse in Hamilton, Ontario, a large manufacturer of turbine engines. My impression is that the order is worth well over $1 million bucks! While I don’t know for sure I would have to assume that Vac Aero has a pretty healthy backlog based on the rumors we’ve been hearing about their new furnace orders. Not sure where Vac Aero ranks amongst new vacuum furnace builders but I would have to guess well within the top five in North America. Hopefully this order is another sign of the times.
