A pioneer in vacuum heat treating since 1959, VAC AERO is one of the world’s largest subcontractors for processing landing gear components for global aerospace prime contractors. Since then VAC AERO has expanded its operations to offer a host of other metallurgical service including specialized applications in vacuum heat treating, brazing and oil quenching, plasma and HVOF spray coatings as well inorganic paint and pack coatings.
VAC AERO is accredited to NADCAP and AS9100B standards for heat treating, welding and tensile testing and holds numerous customer approvals from major aerospace prime contractors. VAC AERO operates heat treating and coating facilities in Canada (Ontario & Quebec) and Poland and has world-wide sales representation.

VAC AERO has been building Vacuum Furnaces since 1970 and specializes in the design and manufacture of standard or custom gas quench vacuum furnaces.
Decades of commercial heat treating experience has provided VAC AERO with a keen understanding of the design and performance of vacuum furnaces to meet end-users’ stringent requirements for durability, reliability, productivity and efficiency.
VAC AERO offers a complete line of heat treating and brazing furnaces, from small horizontal laboratory units to large, vertical models.
VAC AERO furnaces operate worldwide in diverse applications in a variety of industries such as; turbine engine component manufacture and repair, medical bone implants, nuclear materials, tool and die manufacturing, research and other high-tech industries.

Honeywell HC 900 Hybrid Controller
Our furnace control systems use the Honeywell HC 900 hybrid controller to regulate thermal cycles and monitor all electrical and mechanical functions of the furnace ensuring consistent repeatability with reduced dependence on human operators. These state-of-the-art control systems feature built-in safety interlock and alarm features that protect both the furnace and the load from overheating or loss of vacuum or other unsafe operating conditions.

A global focus enables VAC AERO to service international companies. Our dedicated service personnel provide immediate assistance anywhere in the world.
VAC AERO offers repair and refurbishment services for most makes of vacuum furnace equipment, including hot zone retrofits and control system upgrades. To support our service activities, we maintain an extensive inventory of spare parts for vacuum pumps, control systems and other critical components. From installation and start-up supervision to rapid response emergency services, our field and technical support teams combine experience and know-how with prompt expert service to minimize expensive downtime and get your furnace operating as soon as possible.
